We are sometimes asked what would happen if we wire a circuit so that we have two lamps in series
And … how would you know that the lamps are in series, what are the tell-tale signs, what would you see.
Lamps in most UK circuits are wired in parallel. It’s how our electrical installations have developed and most times we do it without thinking. But what would happen if the lamps were wired in series with each other?
So let’s take a look at how this can happen and what the effects are.
