In this video from Learn Electrics, we will answer some recent questions that are specific to socket ring circuits, and in the UK, almost every socket ring circuit is 2.5 twin and earth with a 1.5 CPC.

Three recent questions are shown in the video and they’ve all been asked in relation to ring circuits.

Such as how can I find the individual conductor resistances if I only know Zs and Ze?

Or, if I have R1+R2 – can I work out the rest of the circuit details from this?

And, will Zs tell me the length of a circuit?

In this video we will show you a very easy method that will give you the answers in just seconds.
