There are 60 questions in the BS7671 : 18th Edition Exam and the exam is NOT based on how many regulations you can remember, but on you being able to demonstrate that you can find the answers in the book.

Enhancing your understanding of the Wiring Regulations will allow you to find the correct answer easily and quickly, not just in the exam, but in a work environment too.
