Being able to calculate and understand the difference between diversity and maximum demand is an important skill for all electricians.
It will avoid overloading the main fuse, with all its problems if this happens, and it will also avoid unnecessary upgrading of equipment.
This video looks at two very different dwellings to show the factors to take into consideration and demonstrates why we should not just apply a blanket diversity to every household.
