In this video we will look at the Type designations of Miniature Circuit Breakers and find out how circuit characteristics affect the type selection process.
We should not simply install a different MCB type just because it might solve a problem. Remember with electrics that something changed over here will need a complimentary change over there. Reducing sensitivity of an MCB will demand an increase in fault current to compensate for it. And if the fault current increases, then something else must decrease.
We should not just make changes to circuits without considering all the factors that affect the safety of persons and the safety of buildings.
